Name Change, Site Change - April 19, 2009

You can now get to this site by entering JamesThorogood.com. That is the actual site address now and if you arrived here by typing in thecohorts.net or following such a link it is pointing to JamesThorogood.com.

The band name has changed from The Cohorts to James Thorogood & The Cohorts. The site will be undergoing some changes over the next month along with some updates on the bios, songs, etc. Marc Gibson and Matt Clavette are still playing along with me. We’ve recorded 26 songs over the past three weeks, basement demo’s, and we have a few more to get to yet. We’ll likely have about 35 songs to choose from when all is said and done for the next CD release. Matt and I are splitting the Bass playing duties and we’re both playing rhythm and lead guitar parts on the new songs. Marc is now singing some back up vocals besides playing the drums.

We’ve been reworking 5 old songs that I had recorded with previous lineups and players but never appeared on the debut CD, 'Friends Shuffled Apart." Ride My Wave, The Cost, Wherever I Go, Do What You Must Do & Red Red Hair. You may recognize some of those titles.

The other new song titles we’ve been working away at are, Undertow, Green Eyes, Radar, Come Alive, Sixteen Again, Collection Of Sin, Not Even One Moment, Expect Me When You See Me (Which was already dumped LOL!!), Radar, South Side, Love Me Or Disappear, The Single Song, Big Town, Stop & Go, Secret To Keep, Summers End, Hurt For Some Time, The Same, Automobile (Rock and Blues Version), Never Know Love and What You Wanted (Which reworks ‘Expect Me When You See Me).

Check back often, things are moving quickly now.

After A Short Hiatus - January 10, 2009

After a short three month hiatus Matt and James will likely be playing live again shortly. New dates coming soon. James has begun working on a new album. In fact there is enough material for a couple albums. There may be a solo project and a Cohorts project in the works for 2009.
